Meet the TRIO SSS Staff

Meet the TRIO SSS Staff

TRIO Student Support Services is dedicated to supporting you on your educational journey. Our TRIO SSS staff lead with a student-centered perspective based on our shared identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. We hold identities as first-generation, transfer students, TRIO alumni, and/or UC Berkeley alumni.

Lucille Molina

Director
lucillemolina@berkeley.edu

Lucille Molina (she/her/ella) is originally from Downey, CA and a proud first-generation college graduate, transfer student, and Berkeley alumna. Lucille is passionate about creating spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Prior to returning to TRIO SSS, Lucille served as the Assistant Director in the Transfer Student Center, where she led mentorship programs, transition courses, and student success initiatives serving the transfer student community at UC Berkeley. Her work is deeply rooted in community, collaboration, and a belief in the transformative power of relationships. Guided by a counseling philosophy centered on love, belonging, and equity, she strives to support students holistically as they navigate their academic, personal, and professional journeys. Lucille believes that meaningful relationships and a strong sense of community are at the heart of student growth, resilience, and success.

Lucille earned her B.A. in English from UC Berkeley, an A.A. from Cerritos College and is currently completing her M.S. in Counseling at San Francisco State University. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, baking, spending time with her loved ones, and all things baseball, especially rooting for her beloved back-to-back World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
